I was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia and I received my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia. I attended law school at the University of Alberta and received my LLB in 2008. I articled with a boutique securities firm in Vancouver. I was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2009 and I began my exclusive family law practice in 2010.
For over a decade I practiced exclusively family law at the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia helping clients navigate their family issues including cohabitation and marriage agreements, separation agreements and divorce. Through my extensive litigation practice I learned how beneficial a resolution can be when achieved outside of the traditional litigation model. It is for this reason that my practice focus is on alternate dispute resolution processes.
I am a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, a current general member of the B.C. Collaborative Divorce Roster Society and I sit on the board of directors for Collaborative Divorce Vancouver.
It is important that after interactions with me or my office my clients feel more knowledgeable and confident to meet the challenges they face during their process. My goal is to find practical results for my clients so that they can move forward in an efficient manner. I try my best to be direct but compassionate in my communication with clients.
In my spare time you will find me spending time with my family and my friends. I enjoy travelling, being active, and amazing food and wine.
