His view of court is that more often than not court is not good for children and out of court resolution of family matters is usually the best alternative. Over those years he has also been an instructor and trainer at numerous family law courses offered to lawyers and mental health professionals.
Scottie lives with his life partner in Aldergrove…he has three adult sons, all in their mid 40s and five grandchildren, (4 girls and 1 boy ranging in age from 6 to 14). Two of “Papa’s” grandbabies live in the Lower Mainland and three in the Okanagan.
“You will always be parents and more likely than not you will someday be grandparents…children learn what they live…the ‘life lessons’ your children learn from your separation and post-separation are crucial to their development.”
Conflict is NOT good for children, your task as a parent is to help provide the best childhood possible…there is no rewind, no replay and no time machine…your children live in the now.
